The Jamu Lodge is located along the Cuyabeno River in the Cuyabeno Reserve, near the Laguna Grande. All cabins are built in the traditional and rustic style with thatched roofs. The Jamu hostel works together with different communities that you will visit to learn about the customs and traditions of the local population. The hostel consists of 5 cabins with three different types of accommodation: multiple, double with hot water and double with cold water. All cabins are lit with candles to preserve the jungle feeling. At Jamu Lodge you can enjoy a cocktail at the bar or relax with a beer in the hammock lounge!
4 NIGHTS / 5 DAYS
1.- Quito - Lago Agrio - Entrance Reserva Cuyabeno. After the flight (30 minutes), or by bus from Quito to Lago Agrio (7 to 8 hours), the meeting point is at the airport of Lago Agrio for people taking the flight, for people traveling by bus in "My Grandfather's House" around 9:30 am, with a representative from the Lodge. After picking up the people who will arrive by plane, we will travel by private transport to the entrance to the Cuyabeno Reserve.
From the entrance of the Cuyabeno Reserve, you will take a canoe ride along the Cuyabeno River to reach the hostel, approximately 2 hours. Lunch is served at the Lodge around 2pm. In the afternoon the activity will begin at 4 pm, to visit the Laguna Grande and look for wildlife. Around 5:30 p.m., you will go to the lagoon to swim and watch the sunset, which is one of the highlights of the tour. At 6 pm, an exciting night walk will begin, during the walk you can expect to see many insects, spiders, tarantulas; Also listen to the jungle at night that is so amazing. Dinner is served at 8pm. After dinner, the guide will receive a brief informative session of the Cuyabeno reservation and the itinerary for the next day. Break.
Meals included: lunch and dinner.
 
2.- Laguna Grande. After breakfast, we walk to the primary jungle to learn about medicinal plants and biological flora and fauna. After lunch, you can relax by the river or enjoy a nap in one of our hammocks. Afternoon activities include swimming in the lagoon and observing Cayman. We conclude the night with a fabulous sunset and delicious food.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
 
3.- Cuyabeno River. Today we will hike in a different part of the forest. This includes the opportunity to see the
largest trees in the Amazon rainforest and different ecosystems. We also visit an indigenous community, where our naturalist guide will explain the culture and traditions of the native peoples, here we will prepare traditional food after that we will enjoy a delicious lunch. We will conclude the day experiencing the beautiful sunset in the lagoon and take the opportunity to observe more wildlife before dinner.

4.- Our 4-day program takes the opportunity to paddle in an ecological canoe to experience life in the jungle at a slower pace.- The schedule gives you greater opportunities to enjoy the magic of the jungle and offers you the opportunity of seeing wildlife not already seen.

5.- The Bridge-Lake Agrio-Quito. We will observe the birds and the animals in the tranquility of the dawn. After bird watching, we will see the sunrise over the jungle cups. After breakfast, we will go up the Cuyabeno River to El Puente, observing for the last time the animals, flora and fauna of the jungle. We will arrive at Lago Agrio around 2 pm, followed by your return flight or bus trip.
Meals included: breakfast.
